• Deformation of an elastic rod

An elastic rod with its cross section of 0.01 m² and its left end fixed and its right end pulled by a force of 10 N. Its elastic modulus is 1.0*10¹⁰ N / m^{2 .}Its deformation is obtained by the solution of equation:

where A is the section area of the rod,  E is its elastic modulus, f (x) is the distributed force on the rod.
